I have been a photographer using film cameras since I was a kid and I remember being very excited but disappointed with the results and also the time delay getting the images back from the developers.

A few months ago I gave my daughter her first digital camera.. bright pink thing, she pushed out her leg and very excited she snapped away I laughed. It wasn't a high frames per second camera ...but boy was she working it.

I hope she has as much enjoyment taking pictures as I have.

The image of us to the right is of us was taken while in a shoot, Natasha was originally in front of me when she jumped up ran behind me jumped on my back bounced around a bit then I nudged her off.. quickly I turned the camera around towards us the auto focus bleeped and I grabbed the image as it is... capturing the moment there and then... this is one of my favourite pictures of us. Some of my best images happen just this way, instinctively capturing the moment.

Time has moved on for me since my first camera but my photography remains a passion, photographing people doesn't feel like work at the moment I am enjoying it that much, its more a personal pleasure, fun, exciting and challenging to achieve the best and create different images.

Some of the people I have worked with along the way refer to what we do as a craft. While some photographers stick to one particular style which may work for them I prefer to vary my work as much as possible.

Currently I manage two photography teams for a commercial company in two UK cities, in total a team of 13 photographers to which I provide training and mentor, they are a great bunch of people.
